Day 1 —

A full travel day into Karamoja, one of Uganda’s most remote and culturally rich regions. The drive is long but rewarding, with changing landscapes as you head northeast. Arrive in Moroto, check in, and unwind ahead of the next day’s journey deeper into the north.
Travel from Moroto to Kidepo, with a meaningful stop in a remote community area to interact with local people and experience traditions rarely seen on standard safari routes. Arrive in Kidepo and settle in — this is Uganda’s most isolated and spectacular savannah park.
Start the day with a morning game drive in Kidepo’s open plains and dramatic scenery — a true wilderness feel with excellent chances of wildlife sightings. In the afternoon, enjoy a community walk to connect with Karamoja culture and local daily life, adding real depth beyond the safari vehicle.
Begin with a morning hill climb on Mount Morungole, reaching 2,749 m during the hike, and experience the remarkable Ik community — one of Uganda’s least-visited minority groups. After the hike and cultural encounter, continue the journey toward Murchison Falls National Park, arriving for dinner and rest.

Enjoy a morning game drive in Murchison for classic savannah wildlife moments, followed by a late-afternoon boat cruise — one of the signature experiences here, with strong chances of hippos, crocodiles and rich birdlife. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening.
Start with a walk to the top of Murchison Falls for dramatic views and a powerful sense of the Nile’s force. Then travel to Kibale, Uganda’s primate stronghold, arriving in time to settle in and prepare for tracking experiences.
Morning forest walk and chimpanzee tracking — a standout primate experience. In the afternoon, explore Bigodi Swamp and join a community walk that includes banana beer (“No banana no party”) and coffee experiences. Finish the day with an evening walk around the crater lakes area for scenery and atmosphere.
Drive to the foothills of Mount Rwenzori for a remote waterfall visit and meaningful interaction with the Bakonzo community, including anti-poaching projects. Experience local cultural elements like hot springs, a traditional healer, art demonstrations, music and storytelling. Then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, an area known for elephants and buffalo.
Morning game drive with a focus on lions and other wildlife. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise, then end the day with a community walk to meet and learn from an anti-poaching group — adding real human impact to your safari story.
Travel into the southwestern highlands toward Bwindi. The drive brings a dramatic shift in scenery as you approach one of Africa’s most iconic rainforests. Arrive, settle in early and prepare for the next day’s gorilla experience.
Gorilla tracking day — the emotional highlight for many travellers. After the trek, join a community walk to deepen your understanding of local life and culture. Then continue to Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy an evening boat cruise to capture the lake’s atmosphere at golden hour.
A scenic return journey to Entebbe. Arrive and enjoy a final relaxed evening — including beach time — before your flight home, ending the trip on a calm, satisfying note.
