Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet a Weismann Safaris & Expeditions representative. Short transfer to Protea Hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy meals at the hotel and review the next day’s plan with your guide/driver.
Drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking walking safari (about 2 hours). Continue toward Murchison Falls National Park (lunch en route, typically around Masindi). Arrive for dinner and rest.
Morning game drive toward the Albert and Victoria Nile areas for wildlife viewing (elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kob, buffaloes, and more). After lunch, take a 3-hour launch cruise from Paraa to the base of the falls, spotting hippos, crocodiles and birdlife.
Long drive from Murchison to Kibale via Masindi–Hoima–Fort Portal, mixing tarmac and rougher sections (about 8–9 hours). Stop for lunch in Fort Portal (Gardens Restaurant is mentioned), then continue to Kibale for dinner.
Transfer to Kibale Forest (Kanyanchu) for briefing and chimpanzee tracking (typically 2–4 hours). Return for lunch. In the evening, do a community walking safari and learn about local life and local beer making.
Transfer to Kibale Forest (Kanyanchu) for briefing and chimpanzee tracking (typically 2–4 hours). Return for lunch. In the evening, do a community walking safari and learn about local life and local beer making.
Community forest walk through gardens and foothills (about 3–4 hours), with chances to see birds, chameleons, monkeys, and (weather dependent) distant glacier views. After lunch, community walk visiting a traditional healer and a blacksmith, ending with Bakonzo traditional dances.
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kasese (stop for souvenirs/coffee). Lunch, then visit Lake Katwe for a salt mining experience and Lake Munyanyange for flamingos (about 2–3 hours).
Early start for a game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best areas in Queen Elizabeth National Park for big game sightings. With the right timing, you may spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, warthog and predators moving through the open savannah. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy the classic Kazinga Channel boat cruise — a wildlife-rich waterway famous for dense hippo pods, crocodiles, and outstanding birdlife along the banks.
After breakfast, travel toward Bwindi. The route crosses Queen Elizabeth National Park, so the drive often feels like a final “moving safari” with chances of wildlife sightings along the way. As the landscape changes from open plains to rolling hills, you’ll begin to feel the shift toward the misty highlands of southwestern Uganda. Arrive in the Bwindi area in time to settle in, relax, and prepare for the next day’s cultural experience.
This morning you’ll take part in the Batwa experience — a meaningful cultural encounter with the original forest inhabitants, learning about traditional life, skills, and stories connected to the Bwindi region. After the visit, continue to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic lakes. Arrive for lunch, unwind with panoramic views, and enjoy a slower pace after several active safari days.
A full day to slow down and enjoy the beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. Take a boat cruise to explore different islands, enjoy peaceful scenery and birdlife, and recharge before your return journey. This is the perfect buffer day for anyone who wants a more balanced trip — combining adventure with genuine rest.
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back through Uganda’s terraced hills and countryside — often described as a “Switzerland of Africa” landscape. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon or evening, depending on road conditions and stops. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala, or continue to Entebbe for your international departure, depending on your flight schedule.
