End of trip

Meet the Weismann Safaris & Expeditions representative on arrival and transfer to Protea Hotel (very close to the airport). Depending on your arrival time, settle in, choose your meal plan, and go through the next day’s schedule with your driver/guide so everything starts smoothly.

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park — Uganda’s largest national park and home to the country’s most powerful waterfall. Stop for lunch in Masindi, then continue to the park. Along the way you may spot birds and wildlife before arriving for dinner and a peaceful evening at your lodge.

Start the day with a morning game drive toward the Albert and Victoria Nile areas, searching for elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kob, buffaloes, lions and a wide range of birdlife. After lunch, take the classic 3-hour launch cruise from Paraa to the base of the falls — a highlight for hippos, crocodiles and river birds, with occasional elephants along the banks. Return for dinner and rest.

After lunch, take the classic 3-hour launch cruise from Paraa to the base of the falls — a highlight for hippos, crocodiles and river birds, with occasional elephants along the banks. Return for dinner and rest.

After an early breakfast, transfer to Kanyanchu for a briefing on chimp tracking rules. Enter the forest to track chimpanzees (typically 2–4 hours), with excellent chances of seeing other primates such as L’Hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and baboons, plus rich birdlife. After the trek, receive your certificate and return to the lodge to rest.

Drive from Kibale toward Queen Elizabeth via Fort Portal and Kasese. Stop for souvenirs and a break in Fort Portal, then continue to the park. Depending on arrival time, you may add an evening game drive or an afternoon Kazinga Channel cruise.

Early start for a game drive toward the Kasenyi Plains — one of the best wildlife areas in Queen Elizabeth. Look out for Uganda kob, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, waterbuck, antelopes and, with luck, lions and leopard. After lunch at Mweya Peninsula, take the Kazinga Channel boat cruise (2–3 hours), famous for hippos, crocodiles and outstanding birdlife.

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi for the gorilla experience. The route crosses Queen Elizabeth National Park and can feel like a moving safari, with chances to see elephants, buffalo, warthogs, hippos and antelopes along the way. Arrive in Bwindi in time to settle in and prepare for tracking the next day.

Early breakfast, then transfer to the park gate for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family and begin the forest trek — duration varies depending on where the gorillas are that day. When you find them, you’re allowed one unforgettable hour in their presence. Return for your certificate, then head back to the lodge for lunch and a restful evening.

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airfield for your domestic flight back to Entebbe, connecting with your onward international travel. This is the most time-efficient way to end the journey after the southwest parks.
