Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel (either self-booked or arranged by Weismann). Meet your guide for a welcome briefing, confirm the flow of the trip, and settle in after your flight. Dinner and a relaxed first night to start fresh for the road journey ahead.

Start early for a morning game drive toward the Albert and Victoria Nile areas, searching for elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kob, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions and rich birdlife. After lunch, enjoy the classic 3-hour launch cruise from Paraa to the base of the falls — a standout experience for hippos, crocodiles and river birds (often including African fish eagles), with occasional elephants along the banks. Return to the lodge for dinner and a calm evening.

After breakfast, begin the long transfer from Murchison to Kibale via Masindi–Hoima–Fort Portal. Expect a full travel day (about 8–9 hours on rougher sections), but with constant scenery changes and a real sense of crossing Uganda from north to west. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal (Gardens Restaurant is mentioned), then continue to Kibale for a well-earned dinner and rest.

After an early breakfast, head into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Your site guide will brief you on the rules, then lead the trek through a primate-rich ecosystem where sightings can include L’Hoest monkeys, black-and-white colobus, baboons and other forest species. After the tracking experience, return to the lodge for lunch, downtime and dinner — a perfect reset before heading south.

Day 6 —
Kibale → Bwindi
(via Queen Elizabeth “moving safari”)

Overnight: Lodge in/near Bwindi

Travel south toward Bwindi (6–7 hours). The route is rewarding because it bisects Queen Elizabeth National Park — turning your transfer into a “moving safari” with chances to see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and baboons. Continue via Kasese–Mbarara–Kabale, stop for lunch at Satellite Hotel, and arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and an early night before gorilla day.

Day 7 — Gorilla tracking
(The main highlight)

Overnight:Lodge in Bwindi area
or Mbarara (depending on plan)

After breakfast, depart with packed lunch and water for the gorilla trekking briefing and the start of the forest experience. The trek duration varies depending on where the gorillas are on the day, but the reward is extraordinary: time with a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat — a genuine once-in-a-lifetime moment. If time and energy allow, add an evening community walk. Depending on your plan with the guide, you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, or drive toward Mbarara for the night.

Day 8 —
Return to Kampala /
Entebbe (scenic drive)

Overnight: Hotel in Kampala
(if not departing same day)

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back through terraced hills and rolling landscapes often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”. You’ll pass Bakiga farmland on the slopes and enjoy a final window into rural Uganda before reaching Kampala late afternoon/evening. Dinner and overnight in Kampala, or transfer directly to Entebbe airport if your flight timing allows.

Day 9 —
Departure (if overnight in Kampala)

End of trip

If you stayed overnight in Kampala, your driver-guide will transfer you to Entebbe airport for your onward flight, timing the journey around your departure schedule.
